Line Dance Demo and or Lesson Videos
Tips for newer Line dancers and many of those that have been doing it for a while.
1: Focus on learning the 17 most popular steps. The Beginners Paradise videos page has four short videos that focus on teaching these steps. I can assure you you will excel much faster.
2: When learning a new dance focus on memorizing the name of the dance and the pattern.
3: Take advantage of all the videos on this page and hundreds of others on other FB pages and websites and of course youtube. You can learn so much so fast in the convenience of your home.
4: Don’t rely on trying to follow someone else’s steps unless you are a well experienced dancer. You can learn a dance that way, but it will take you several times longer and you most likely will not even know the names of some of the steps you are doing which will hinder you when learning other dances in the future. The best way to learn is usually in sections of eight counts at a time for both Line dancing and partner dancing. Memorize the first eight counts and then add the next eight and make sure you memorize all sixteen before adding any more. This is the best way to learn. Not a good idea to try and follow video that is just a demo.
Please note that frequently there is more than one version of these dances and some of them pair well with multiple songs. Sometimes a different version may have very miner changes, and sometimes they are major ones and totally different. For those of you new or pretty new to Line dancing, I strongly suggest you watch and learn the four short videos in the Beginners Paradise section under Dance Demo & Teaching Videos. They will help excel rapidly learning Line dances.
If anyone knows of a better video than we are using for any of these dances, please email the URL link to go.country.dancing@gmail.com.
