Partner Dance Demos and or Lesson Videos

Couples Mixer Dances Below

For those interested in learning couples/partner choreographed dances, there is one very important rule. Don’t squeeze the Charmin. The Charmin is of course, the hands. Also important, I strongly encourage you to learn these six most popular basic steps well before trying to learn the dances. I assure you, you will learn the dances much faster. They are also popular Line dance steps. Many of you may already know them.  Watch the video below.

*** Don’t forget!  If needed, you can slow youtube videos down by clicking on the gear at the bottom right corner of the window and then click on speed.

Click on the name of the dance to see the video:

Partner Dancing Basic Steps - Video that teaches the six most popular steps listed above you need to know and has a simple dance to practice these steps.  You might also want to practice the very popular Line dance Black Velvet which has several of the same steps in it.

Here is a link to Black Velvet demo and teaching.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3fkQDC09SQ&list=PLzCuitA5NSS2NrAfo9Xu7v_xQNgV3Cyu6&index=6&t=76s

Demo of Several Dances - This is a short 6 minute demo video with just a taste of a few dances you can learn. There are many more, fun, cool, and even romantic ones like the ones below.

Bill’s Boogie /cir - song: A Little Boogie Woogie by Foster Martin Band (dance can be a mixer to)

Cowboy Cha Cha /cir - song: Neon Moon by Brooks & Dunn (Please note that the cha cha sequence moving forward and turning the girl with a one two cha cha cha clockwise and then counter clockwise is done twice in a row while the man does one two cha cha cha four times starting with the left foot.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31ZJud3NS5g This version of Cowboy Cha Cha is a teaching only which may help some better than others.  They do a good job on the foot work and especially the ending.  Note that the lady is not doing the four one two cha cha cha turns (RLRL) as they go down the line of dance.  That part is wrong, but can be done if the lady has trouble turning.

Cowboy Disco – song: That Don’t Impress Me by Shania Twain (Vern and Charlene

Desperado Wrap  /cir - song: Strip it Down by Luke Bryan
